Based on what info?

The publisher re-using ISBNs for different editions. Recent examples include the grey Hobbit matching the 2022 un-jacketed LotR hardcovers, and the black paperbacks of LotR that are now more grey and have Tolkien’s signature as the author credit as opposed to just having his name printed.

They’ve done it before and I have a feeling that’ll be the case for CoH here. It’s logical and I’d be willing to bet on it, I’m that confident.

You’re right though: nothing official. Just their publication history to base that off of.

You’re right though: nothing official. Just their publication history to base that off of.

The did not re-use ISBN's for the New Paperbacks of Beren & Luthien and Fall of Gondolin.

They were issued with new ISBN's and currently as a 1st Print.

If there are to release COH in a similar format/style - It would be more probable that they will do the same and issue with a New ISBN and as a 1st Print.

Let me better explain, sorry.

These have new ISBNs because these two titles (Beren and Luthien and The Fall of Gondolin) are new to this particular style. (I'm guessing no artwork, except for black and white sketches? It doesn't say 'illustrated by Alan Lee' on the cover, that's how I got there.) Well, The Children of Hurin has existed in that style since 2014 - but, the cover is different than these maroon covers. Therefore, I wouldn't be surprised if the publisher merely uses that exact same ISBN for The Children of Hurin, but changes the cover to match these new versions of the other two.

I gave other examples in my other comment to show that this concept it not new to them: some of which were quite recent.

Different edition: it's likely shorter than most/typical paperbacks, IIRC. (Beren and Luthien and The Children of Hurin also exist in the smaller style)
