Guy Kay gets asked to sign copies of The Silmarillion: US and UK; and he seems to favour the foreword where he is credited. Anyone have a Kay signature (perhaps in one of his own books)? This one look genuine enough?

I still have a couple Silmarillions I had him sign when I met him last - yours looks quite legitimate.
He will only sign them at the end of the foreword as you show in your pictures. He is not comfortable signing anywhere else.

Thanks for that Jeremy. Did you get him (recently) to sign a few US Silmarillion's? (-or did you get any UK copies signed?) Don't suppose your anticipating meeting him, again, any time soon?

I need to recheck to see if I have any US Silmarillion's signed. I did get a bunch of UK 1st editions signed. I still have one left for sale at

Oh, missed the (recently) question. I got them signed in early 2007 when he was touring/signing Ysabel.

And on that note, his latest book Under Heaven will be published in April (Canada) and May (US and UK) 2010 so I expect he will be back on tour during the summer.
