Nice! I recognise one of those photos very well - for reasons that are unknown to me, the close up with the (rather natty) hat has been used in Swedish publications. One example is the slipcase for the 3-volume hardbacks of LOTR from the late 1970s, and another is the highly questionable Tolkien och den svarta magin by Åke Ohlmarks:

The photos in the article were taken during the filming of Tolkien in Oxford, he is wearing the hat in the documentary.
