Always rewarding to fill in the holes in his own collection

A former employee of a Borders (UK) bookstore reached out to me recently, looking to find a home for a small mathom from the release of Sigurd and Gudrún. It is a metal bookmark engraved with one of the small pieces of artwork from the book (also used for the cover of the paperback release). It was fun discovering that these exist! I chatted briefly with HarperCollins about it as well (to make sure it was official). It is tiny (just a few centimeters tall) but I am pleased. It surprises me no end to find out about these sorts of giveaway materials more than a decade later!

Really original goodie

I have one of these - but unfortunately I never recorded where I got it - or if it came with a book I ordered. And I have no memory at all of how I acquired it.

I can only assume it came with a copy of the book I ordered somewhere - maybe one from Analecta Books. But just guessing.....

It reminds me a little of this item (Harpercollins Gold Ring On Chain). A promo item for the film-tie-in books.
