I must have been looking at the wrong thing. I was in the cart, and the delivery options were two different ways of picking it up, and delivery in metropolitan Paris.
I figured out that if I made an account then I could specify where to ship. Now just to get the ok on the expenditure! Will be a present for my mum

Bought a copy today, thanks for the helpful hints through your posts. Will be too late for a birthday present, but it will I am sure be gratefully received! (I bought my mum her paperback copies of Fellowship and Two Towers in the centenary style, when I was a kid in the early 90s; a boxed set of hardcovers in the late 00s with Tolkien's jacket art; and Artist & Illustrator. This will really tickle her fancy)

I'm one of those bad collectors - if it arrives shrink wrapped it stays wrapped, unless there's a spare reading copy available.
Just for information : Galignani (as many others stores) is right in the middle of the Olympic zone, and the bookshop will be close till the mid-august, therefore it will be impossible to order any book in this time period.
