Could you explain the significance of this edition? It's not the 1st US edition as it states, as that came out on 1950. Some people just like the Roger Garland art? Story expanded?
Still is a "first thus" edition, with a bit of a history of the stuck-in information on the copyright page provided via: https://www.tolkienbooks.us/pw/fgh/farmer-giles-of-ham-1991 The spines are prone to fading, but this looks to be in good shape
