The Silmarillion Methuen Edition

Good morning,

I have the opportunity to purchase this copy of The Silmarillion and was wondering if anyone had any additional information. I have collected quite a few Tolkien books but could not find much information on this edition or any recent/current listings.

Is this a rare version and what would be the value of this book?

Any extra information would be appreciated!

In fine condition and with the "Friends of the Publisher" label also - I think it could sell for around $2000 to the right buyer.

It's a beautiful copy. I don't know what the going rate is in today's market, but this is probably the nicest "True First" Silmarillion after the Super De Luxe version.
