After a lot of back and forth with the seller I was finally able to secure this copy of The Silmarillion 1977 Methuen Edition which also includes the presentation sticker. It arrived in better condition than expected and looks great.
I am wondering if anyone has any recommendations for custom slipcases? I've done a bit of research online but could only come up with a few options and a few sellers on Etsy.
Thanks to everyone who commented on my previous post it really helped provide a lot of information about this copy.
I've attached a few pictures as well.

David over at The Tolkien Bookshelf makes fantastic slipcases! I believe he is a member on this site, but I don't know his username off the top of my head. Maybe someone can tag him or he'll see this thread and you can send him a PM. There also might be a contact form over at thetolkienbookshelf.com you could fill out. If you use the search function here you should be able to find some examples of his work without much difficulty.

For custom slipcases, I'd recommend making your on if you have time. They aren't especially difficult once you get the hang of it. I've made lots of them. Failing that, David Miller at Tolkien Bookshelf has a lot of standard designs - I would have thought he could produce one easily enough. I'd personally go with a clamshell with this book to protect the spine. Slipcases are great, but they don't actually protect rare books especially well, IMHO. Clamshells are also easy enough to make, just time consuming (more so than slipcases). Any decent bookbinder should be able to produce something. I'm just too tight-arsed to pay someone else to produce them.
