These dealers seem to be getting more and more common. It’s a shame that this tactic works more often than we think.

Seems like a good time to mention, again - all dealers flip all their books, that's how the business works. The purpose of this thread is to help educate collectors in how this market works, how to look for deals (eg an underpriced book that will get snapped up), and to see market trends over time.

I tried to get the signed-Silmarillion when it was on eBay…. Too bad the seller didn’t ship to the U.S. 🤦

On our HarperCollins Store Page, https://www.tolkienguide.com/pages/HarperCollins, we have a note about mail forwarding services and an example of one such company, there are a lot and we make no recommendations.

It is possible to use mail forwarding companies when ordering, but you need to set up an account with them, https://www.forward2me.com/ is an example. This is not a recommendation on forwarding services and you use at your own risk.
