I wish to sell this, as mentioned a couple of weeks ago on this forum.
I have just ha this sent to me from NZ where it was found in my deceased aunts house.
The nurse Beatn he refers to was my Aunt that at some point was a nurse to Tolkien.
Any idea where or whats the best way to sell???
any help would be appreciated.

Hi
ireland,
that's a nice looking signature! It would be valuable to have some provenance on the Nurse and her relationship with Tolkien, but from my perspective, the handwriting and ink look very good. The book condition (impression, wear, etc.) mean that the value here is in the signature, but I think that it would do well at auction or in a private sale as a good example of a signed book.
I haven't heard anything negative about your book yet (but some have not weighed in). I wish I had more disposable income right now!

I'd suggest an Auction House to sell this and one that sells quite a lot of signed Tolkien item's like this is Bloomsbury Auctions (
http://www.bloomsburyauctions.com) and I'd suggest contacting them for an appraisal.
There may be some interest on this forum in buying this item, so let us know if you decide to sell it through them.

The signature looks good to me. Another option would be to sell it on eBay.
