I live very near DC and checked this out today, here's a few photos!

Also, apparently there’s been some discussion surrounding the bindings of these galley proofs… here’s a bit more information from the curators —
“The Roses acquired the volumes already bound. Here's the description we have of the bindings:
‘Bound in full multi-colored morocco by Donald Glaister in a spectacular panorama design of carved stone wall, marquetry wood forest and the mountains of Mordor beneath fiery Middle-earth skies.’”
