That wil be a double purchase for me ! (using both sides of the dut jackets, because I could'nt choose which side to display)
That's special to see these four titles with 'HoME' jackets, like if these were published in the 90's.
Same for me. other than the Silmarillion, I wasn't bothered about having a second copy of any of the recent HoME ones to reverse, but I like the idea of these and want both the HoME-style and woodcut jackets.
It is interesting, as I asked David Brawn about a HoME style Silmarillion maybe 5 years ago (I had done a prototype in Blue HoME style) and at that point, it was something he said they had never actually given thought to (but they had tentative plans to produce a POD of the 1992 Purple UT). Interesting that they came around far beyond just doing the Silmarillion in the end.
Looks like the HC set is now for pre-order on Blackwell’s.
You can pre-order the UK version from HarperCollins.

I truly wish I could pre-order from HC. I always hear great things, and I usually see that folk who have pre-ordered from them get their books early sometimes. Have HC ever allowed shipping to the US? I want to say I thought they did, once upon a time.
For those buying from HarperCollins UK, pre-ordering at this stage seems pointless. Do it when there as a 50% off sale (which is at least once a month at the moment).
Maybe when the US distributor was competition? Now they own both.Toothsayer wrote:

In the past, HarperCollins did not have it's own online storefront. For Print-on-Demand titles, the printer HC was using did actually support international shipping, so it was possible to get those to the USA (and other countries). When HC launched their own online storefront, they have always limited it to the UK, Ireland and the Channel Islands.
