In the new IMAX film "Becoming Led Zeppelin", there is a nice (and appropriate) reference to the influence of Lord of the Rings on Led Zeppelin while they were making their second album. The clip is about 30 seconds long and includes a shot of a recent British edition of LOTR and a photo of Tolkien with the *key section of "Ramble On" playing in the background. (I drove 70 miles to see the film on the day after it opened, so that belies my musical tastes.)

*For those of you unfamiliar with the Led Zeppelin oeuvre, one passage of "Ramble On" is "In the darkest depths of Mordor, I met a girl so fair, but Gollum and the Evil One crept up and slipped away with her." No, it's not canon, but Robert Plant was reading LOTR in 1969.
