Hello guys

In case some of you are interested:
That 12th printing 2006 (not 2000) Unfinished Tales is worth about $30
Thanks for the knowledge and advise. I have a 1st as well, won't sell it for the moment (also I may not know its value)
Corrected year on ebay site (2006 is correct), I can't get it to update here in the original/edited first post.

When it was in print yeah. And normally I think it’s been about $50-80 out of print. The current market however has entirely lost its mind. One actually sold about 2 weeks ago for $580 USD. Completely insane. I have no doubt Joselillo’s copy will sell.
These arent hard to find. Ppl are paying insane money for books with zero rarity....No need to facilitate that. The current hype around the 2006 UT started with a recent post on the tolkien collectors FB site. It didn't take more in a climate with alot of new collectors, some with far more money than knowledge.
I just decided the price based on what I saw in "finished" listings on ebay.
If mods think I should take down this post, pls let me know (and let me know how I do it 😅)
On the other hand, if someone is interested, hit me a DM.

Someone on FB bet me (fairly rudely) $500 [that they clearly would never have paid] if I could find one of these in a week. Took me about 5 minutes to find a whole stack of brand new ones (red text, not gold foil - obviously). Tulip mania is real in the Tolkien world.
