Hi everyone,
I posted this before but it seems to have disappeared. It's been ages since I have been able to post so I may have messed up the previous attempt. I noticed the item is still for sale and the price looks good to me.
Might be a good buy for those trying to complete their HoME collection.

I have been umming and aahing about this one for a few days. I'd be interested to know - does the condition really make it worth as little as £145 compared to copies going for twice that?

Dior, you posted this originally in the [Members] section of the forum; I wasn't sure why. It's deleted (there) now.
(Bruffyboy) The seller seems to have graded this very conservatively "G+/G" --it looks, & I asked, probably more in the VG catagory; even if it isn't VG+, or NF. The faults don't seem to suggest anything as lowly as G, but hard to tell with only the one photo. Either way I think £145 is priced to sell very sensibly. I don't want an unpriced copy or I would have seriously considered this. Incidentally, what is all the rubbish about libraries --wish people would stop spouting all this rubbish in listings...

i realise this sale on ebay has now ended but i was curious as to why you are not interested in it because it is unpriced? is it because they are worth more money priced or just your personal preference or something entirely different.
Thanks.

The unpriced books are probably, though not necessarily, Book Club Editions or export editions, the priced copies are probably, though not necessarily, UK Trade editions. It is all as clear as mud.
Have a look at this article on tolkienbooks.net.
