Unlikely, but does anyone have a copy of FR Hb 1992 (
The Fellowship of the Ring. 1992) that they're willing to sell, trade, or give (
) to me? I'm hoping someone has a tatty copy lying around they're not that happy with. Don't mind if it's in not so good condition. Someone I know has TT & RK (probably only G to VG-) but not FR. How annoying. But I can't seem to locate a cheap copy. Unfortunately, too, there was no reprint, so I can't even pick up an unpopular-with-collectors kind of copy...

Seriously, would you swap? --or are you holding out for RK? I've got some Tolkien criticism that I've read (& I'm not sure if I still have room for) & some I've never got round to reading. Not likely, but you might be interested. e.g. Tolkien's Legendarium (Flieger & Hostetter) and Alex Lewis & Elizabeth Currie's (Ruth Lacon) The Uncharted Realms of Tolkien & The Forsaken Realm of Tolkien (both signed) --that sort of thing...

laurel, I eventually got a fairly decent (probably VG/VG-) set for £80; which is alright I suppose. Just couldn't locate an affordable copy of FR on its own.

You did ok I think at £80 for full set as they are not often for sale
I am still looking for a return of king to make up my set if you now have a spare ?
I have just returned from an extended stay in Greece
Was walking by a used book store and couldnt believe my eyes ! In amongst all the foreign titles was a very old looking Hobbit with DJ.
Rubber burned off my soles - only the find in was a very scruffy later copy in disguise-!!!!!!!!!!!!
O well - keep searching

It's not really my spare --& I think it has some unsightly writing inside; names, signatures, doodles etc. But, if it's quite good --I'll get back to you. The recipient certainly doesn't need two!
