I think it has been re-listed together with the release of the Art of the Hobbit, the Pocket Hobbit etc.
I bought my set 2 weeks ago from The Book Depository UK

Sorry for resurrecting this thread. Can I just clarify. This, originally, was a slipcased set (standard hardbacks) of first impressions; hence Deagol's "Only first impressions were issued in the slipcase" on TolkienBooks. But are these now selling, new, with later impressions? i.e. did HC decide to slipcase up sets again, in 2011 at some point? HC themselves don't seem to have it up on their site anymore, but there seems to be plenty of listings kicking around selling new sets --hence why I'm asking.

It is a 2011 re-issue. The slipcase seems to be slightly thinner than the original.

But, am I correct in saying, the books themselves aren't a "re-issue" i.e. there's no "2011" on the copyright pages or anything. It's the boxset itself which is the "re-issue". They're just using the impressions that they're currently on (to fill the boxset), right?
