Hi folks
I've got a rebound 1st / 4th Hobbit to sell, and I'd like some advice. My usual familiarity with Tolkien prices has deserted me, and I don't really know how much to ask for it.
It is the first edition fourth impression from 1946, printed in 1946 to the wartime "authorised economy standards". The main flaws are some folds to early pages (possibly the relics of some damp), and some small brown stains to the final pages.
The book has been rebound in green leather. The spine has raised bands, with the title and author in gold; otherwise, the binding is plain. There is a green slipcase.
I attach a photo, and have others available.
Any advice on price would be much appreciated - as, indeed, would offers to purchase!
Thanks
