Greetings, All. I have just listed for sale on ebay a 1st impression Fellowship of the Ring. The book is in great shape, although the jacket is rough. Sorry to sell, but I really need to raise some funds. I've started it at $0.99, with no reserve. I also have a first impression Two Towers in very similar condition (actually with a slightly better jacket), that I will be listing for sale soon. The books did indeed do well. I don't recognize the buyers' names as being a TCG regulars. They may be, but I will leave it up to them to reveal themselves.

I have seen the same with sales of G.R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire books (Subterranean press). If you sell a set as individual items you will get better prices as compared to selling them as a set.
(Though in this case it wasn't really a set but two books of a set)
