Anybody won lottery and went for them?

I was the internet bidder... but plus the auction costs this was too heavy for me! But pushed the price way over my initial limit.

I was in it for a while but someone on phone clearly wanted them - maybe at any cost?

Hey Beren, you weren't the only internet bidder. I know I had to get up earlier than you to bid on them!! Probably dropped out of bidding earlier as well. Someone really really wanted them!!

I only dropped out on 3000 GBP... that was too crazy already, but I wanted to see how much the telephone bidder wanted to have it. In the end I already had these books one time (I have bought and sold them one time before) so knew them... sort of had hoped to get them back home.
Alas.

There's a lesson to be learnt there Beren...
