It's odd to me that there's evidently not enough demand for a deluxe edition of Letters but titles like The Story of Kullervo and The Battle of Maldon get deluxe editions.
I'd expect a lot of overlap between the audiences interested in buying those books.

It doesn't have to be a commercial decision, either. Perhaps it feels inappropriate to someone in the decision process to have a deluxe or collector's edition of his personal letters, vs. his writings that he meant to be shared publicly (fiction and academic works).

I am sure that is something that HC are thinking of doing at some point, but the last I was told was that they had no 'current plans'.

There’s been a few names mentioned but no one we can divulge at this time. We’re very much in “wait and see” stage on this project.

Gerryt Well, just pay attention to well-known artists' recent sharing of new art, and you might get an idea. I obviously am not privy to anything that the TCG people might have heard, though...
I'm personally strongly in favour of a one-volume Book of Lost Tales, and a corrected edition would be excellent. I think that BoLT deserves to be better known just as a standalone work, not to mention Christopher's scholarship. I could imagine having John Garth write an extended foreword that outlines his research in the years since that corrects the reconstructed chronology of composition, for instance, among other bits and pieces like more links to the early poetry
I didn't know about the errors, but no doubt these got pointed out in various places - I would love to have a list of where corrections are given, or otherwise an online erratum page.

Well, I’ve just caught up and seen your festive video. Well done and thanks for a great TCG year. All a labour of love of course, but it’s good of you all to put your spare time in and share things with us all. Congratulations to, OntheTrail too. Great work.
Looking forward to 2025 now. Enjoy the holidays 🎄
