Might not be too costly to get a local bookbinder to craft a bonded leather slipcase sans any tooling or foil pressing. Food for thought!
That sounds like a good idea, need to do some research. Also didn't mean to get overly defensive haha. Yeah it doesn't need to be anything too fancy - doesn't even need to be leather! The only foil stamping it might have - if not too costly on top of the price of the slipcase itself - would be either the JRRT logo, or the logo that appears on the book's spine.

You may want to ask David over at the Tolkien Book shelf. He seems to have a lot of custom made slip cases.
