Do you not mean "Tales From the Perilous Realm" Deluxe edition and not "Unfinished Tales", signed by Alan Lee?
The book on eBay was one of the unsigned copies.

An unsigned copy of Tales from the Perilous Realm (2008) worth 300EUR/£240? I don't think so; you could pick up copies just a couple of years back for retail price.

I wish they could have made the pictures a bit smaller, I can still almost make out the cover of the book.
eBay Item #301217006962
Fortunately they do not discuss much else about the book, such as is it in the original box, and does it have the original tissue paper, this information is possibly in a microdot on the photo.

Thank you Trotter. I mean 'Tales from the perilous realm'.
If the book on ebay auction is not signed, dont worth so much.

Without contributing to the "what is is worth" side of the conversation for the deluxe "Tales from the Perlious Realm", my point is that I have been watching closely online for these, and this recent ebay copy is the one of the only copies that has come up for sale anywhere (ABEBooks, Amazon third party sellers, eBay, Biblio, Alibris, etc.) that I have noted for at least six months that isn't ridiculous (there's one from a China seller on Biblio.com right now for over $600, I am not even sure that isn't a phishing scam instead of a real copy). These are quite scarce on the open marketplace, currently.
Trotter, it did sell: see image below.
Urulöké, do you not think decently priced copies will start to reappear on the market though?

I certainly hope so, and assuming they are all in circulation I think they will come down in price eventually. Buyers have to be patient for that to happen though!
I'm pretty sure you could still buy this new from Tolkien.co.uk until fairly recently (I'm referring to the Alan Lee signed version limited to 500 copies with the different information sheet, but otherwise identical to the non-signed one). They took a LONG time to sell.
I can't image that anyone would ever pay $500 for it (but if anyone wants to, I have a spare one in a box )
