The Books: A beautiful matching set of 3 volumes. The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers and The Return of the King. All 3 volumes 1st printings. All clean pages, no inscriptions and none of the spotting / foxing or offsetting usually seen. All the maps in place at the rear of all 3 volumes. Beautifully re-bound by Temple Bookbinders of Oxford in red leather. Titles to spine compartments, ring and eye device gilt tooling. Protective clam shell case. This set with Tolkien's own design and in Red is just as he envisaged and requested in correspondence.
Volume 3, The Return of the King is signed by JRR Tolkien opposite the copyright page, below the Rings poem, as he did on occasion. Full Provenance will be supplied with this beautiful set to include confirmation from a major London auction house and a leading antiquarian Tolkien book specialist confirming authenticity.

I think it’s hilarious they have this listing but they won’t even ship to the US. ?
We just don’t matter.
We just don’t matter.

He does ship to the USA (and most of the world), he just doesn't have a shipping option set up on eBay for this listing. If you contact him and ask for a shipping quote, I am sure he will provide one. His Abebooks listing of the same item does offer shipping to the USA. Just a quirk of eBay selling (not just him, setting things up for international shipments is a real pain).
