Or better still produce a new edition of letters that follows the Hammond/Scull 'Companion and Guide' in design. 3 volumes should suffice with future entries online like in the case of the T.S. Eliot website.

but not in hardback. They did a print on demand for The History of Middle-earth Index, which initially came out in paperback about 8 years prior - and has never been out of print.
