Got mine yesterday, I'd say the slipcase is sumptuous.
I must say I like the deluxe edition more without the DJ on, the black book inside the black slipcase looks really cool.
Oh and BTW I am probably the slowest here since I got #34. It took me more than 24 hours to decide.

Just to let everyone know, Jo at Merlin Unwin is in the process of remedying the damaged book. Any reservations I may have had are now gone.
I have received mine - a high number, 46 of 50. I take it from this that there are only a few copies left (I ordered on Thursday). The slip case is lovely and the limitation slip tipped in. Probably expensive for what it is - the book after all is only the standard trade hardback with a slipcase and limitation slip. But a very nice volume, nonetheless.
Same for my damaged dustjacket.Caudimordax wrote:

Same for my damaged dustjacket.
My Sp. Ed. also came slightly damaged to the top of the spine. The dent went through to the book (which I can live with; nobody will ever see this), but the jacket damage is unsightly & rather annoying. Did Jo simply arrange for a replacement jacket to be posted for you, FH?
This aside, we must be the most annoying & particular bunch of 50 bookbuyers Merlin Unwin Books has ever had the misfortune of dealing with!
Wait, so there's nothing special/different about the book itself compared to the regular edition they put out; you just get a slipcase? It's still a hardback in a dustjacket?

Yes, the slipcase and a signature with the limitation...I guess another cover (a leather one) would have been great...
