I thought members might like to see some information from the UK Book and Magazine Collector magazine, on Tolkien and their guesses at valuations on books.
I have picked some of Tolkien’s books to give the prices for from the first copy that I have, July 1985, to the latest copy December 2005.
I will list the copies below that I have, if anybody is aware of any other editions that concentrate on Tolkien or the Inklings, then please post them?

1 #17 July 1985 J.R.R. Tolkien With Complete Bibliography

£600 for a first impression Hobbit with dust jacket in 1985 looks to have been an awesome investment.
