Hello all,
I was wondering what preferences you guys have concerning protection for dust jackets? Although I have bought some books which already had d/j protection, I have never applied this myself (having always preferred the original look and feel of a dust jacket). Nevertheless, there are now quite some books in my collection for which, I feel, it is rather necessary to preserve their condition.
Is there a lot of difference in the material for the protective cover (polypropylene, polyester, vinyl, mylar(?))? Is there any specific brand you would recommend? Preference in style (foil-only cover? Foil + paper sleeve?
And as a bonus question: how do you protect books without dust jacket?
Thanks in advance for sharing your, without a doubt, valuable opinions!
