Forum Posting per Page

I am no forum god and I have never created a forum before.
However, I personally find the limitation of 5 postings per forum page somewhat of a hassle.
Maybe I am the only one who thinks this, but I get all itchy and delighted to see a new forum thread with 3-4 pages after returning from work, but all that anticipation dies away really really really quickly when I realize that each page has only five postings. Furthermore, the fact that I have to keep pressing buttons to turn to the next page, after taking 20 seconds to read the entire page puts me off from the immersive Tolkien experience.
Am I the only one experiencing this? Am I asking too much if the posting limitation could be increased to at least... 10 postings or so?

I also agree, 5 is too little, but what is the right amount per page, should be more than 5 but I have no idea on what it should be
