I am happy to have acquired all 4 I Palantir magazines - first Tolkien fanzine ever. 
From fanlore.org : ''I Palantir was the gen Tolkien anthology published by the first organized Tolkien group, The Fellowship of the Ring.
This zine is credited as the first fanzine solely devoted to Tolkien. It had a sister zine called Nazgul's Bane, which was published in the UK for the club's British members.
There were four issues of "I Palantir" before the organization was disbanded.
Ted Johnstone was the group's founder. "Ted Johnstone is the pseudonym for David McDaniel, author of a number of The Man From U.N.C.L.E. novels and at least one The Prisoner novel. ''

It would be a real honor to have a credit on your site, i use it almost on a daily basis and it is my main source for Tolkien bibliography.

Is the cover artist for issue 3 credited? I notice now that I don't have that detail at TolkienBooks.
Doc Weir's article appears to have been re-typed but it is essentially the same as the original. The first sentence and the second paragraph of Tolkien's letter did not appear in I, Palantir - see the extract below from Triode:
