Julian Bradfield writes to tell me that he has finally begun to make back issues of the Elvish linguistic journal Quettar available to purchase. These have been long out of print and quite difficult to come by until now. Significant scholarly work was publilshed in Quettar, so it is very exciting that these are coming back into print for fans and researchers. Quettar was published from 1980 to 1995 as the Bulletin of the Linguistic Fellowship of the Tolkien Society. The first volume contains issues 1 to 10, published in 1980-1981. Julian decided to release the back issues through a print-on-demand company called Lulu (lulu.com), which will save considerable effort and expense producing these by hand. The direct link to Quettar Vol. 1 is http://www.lulu.com/content/2467844 If you are considering ordering this issue from Lulu, it is priced at GBP 6.25 with shipping for up to three books at GBP 3.75 (approximately $12 USD plus $4 shipping inside the continental USA). Check the shipping quotes for your particular address, as this can change based on where you are located. This is at cost for Julian, as print-on-demand is not the cheapest method of reproduction, but certainly the most convenient for all involved. As long as you are paying to ship that first book, what to get for those other two books? Here are some other titles to consider:
