Uncorrected LOTR proof for sale, this book is one of the most valuable things you can acquire as a Tolkien collector, extremely rare.
I saw 3 of these books (uncorrected LOTR trilogy) being sold for 21 000 dollars on a prior auction. If you have some spare money this is an amazing opportunity. Good luck guys!!!

I expect this will go well above anything I could afford (discounting that I can't afford anything at the moment, but even in my better days). I think it will be well over £10,000

Likewise. Gave up high paying job 6 years ago to move to ski resort. Accidentally had baby, wife not currently working (due to aforementioned baby). It will go for at least £10,000 more than I can currently afford
If only I had remained in Brisbane getting paid loads of money whilst being dead-miserable, I could definitely afford it!

I agree, this should go for a very high price indeed. I am very much interested in the end price.
I will probably bid but not up to 10 000 pounds, that's for sure.
Btw. are you from Australia Stu? I was once saved by the Australians from walking on the road on a scorching sun for hours.

Not from Australia, but I lived there for 13 years (so an adopted Australian -- and the country treated me well). Aussies generally try to help people out that are out getting scorched (people die every year underestimating how much water you need, and how infrequently travelled some of those back roads are if you break down).

I expect it was a book dealer, expect to see it listed on Abebooks shortly for £20,000.

And likely will sell fairly quickly at that price, or with a discount negotiated by the buyer...
