How do you catalogue your collections? I have just began mine and so far it includes: title, author, editor, edition, printing, year, illustrator, category (is it a part of the legendarium etc).

I have a spreadsheet with several tabs that have all the relevant information. I also have one for books I don't have yet, but would like to have some day.

I do the same - keep a separate sheet for books/editions i want to collect in the future.

A work in progress. Did corner to mat board & get photos of the unframed 2D art, posters, prints. Currently working on fabric stuff, as in tees, sweats, hoodies, hats...
Books I do hit and miss and need to learn something like library thing.

I keep a simple spreadsheet, since I don't have that many books.
But now I have to check LibraryThing, looks pretty useful!!!

Emilien has posted some times ago. This was very helpful because all Tolkien titles are already filled in, so you only need to mark your collected books
