The Hobbit - help identifying publishing date, etc

Hey folks,

I need some help trying to figure out when this book was released and any other facts about it. I’ve seen so many editions online, and this one appears to be missing certain characteristics.

A couple of points to note:
1) it doesn’t seem to have the usual printer details, such as when it was printed, release date, etc
2) a small thing, but besides the retail price sticker, there is no price underneath it (as seen through using a light box)
3) the hardback doesn’t have the embossed elements in black, it’s in gold, and is missing any embossing on the front and back, which seems to be common among the releases.

Any ideas if this is a pre-print or something, or just an oddity to enjoy and keep next to all the other Tolkien books I have in my collection.
