Book description: Published by George, Allen & Unwin in 1966, this is the 1st edition, 5th impression of 'Farmer Giles of Hame' by J.R.R. Tolkien.
The unclipped dust-jacket is in very good, bright condition with a small closed tear at the top edge and a longer one on the reverse of the jacket at the bottom edge. The spine has sunned. The illustrated peach boards are in excellent condition and the pages are clean, white and tight throughout. There is a small ex Libris sticker on the back of the front board. The book is beautifully embellished throughout by Pauline Diana Baynes.
A lovely early impression of this collectable book.
