After many years of collecting, I have created
LOTR Arts, a site inspired by
The Lord of the Rings, to showcase my collection of books, sketches, sketch storyboards, other artwork, replicas and self-authored books.
This website launched on 3 January 2017 to celebrate the 125th anniversary of J.R.R. Tolkien's birthday:
www.lotrarts.comAlthough I am a member of the
Scoundrel Art Community Forum, where the site was formally launched, I have been encouraged to post this announcement also on your discussion forum, where I can see there are many passionate and dedicated Tolkien fans and collectors.
Enjoy!

Hi
some nice artwork
I especially like your Roger Garland drawing. Ironically I have one of these signed prints in my lounge. Have a few of his drawings myself. Wonderful
Well done

You say the website is to showcase your collections yet you have taken a lot of the book images from TolkienBooks.net - without any credit. You are also offering the super-deluxe Hobbit for sale in your store with an image that isn't your copy either. Have all the images been acquired from other websites?

Thank you for visiting
LOTR Arts - and for your kind words.
Many years ago, I bought the Tolkien landscape from Roger, then sometime later, the other drawings from him. For me they are the real treasures in my collection. Congratulations on having some drawings of his. He is a wonderful artist, and a passionate and generous Tolkien 'devotee'.
Many thanks again.

Hi Deagol
The
LOTR Arts Book Introduction gives credit to TolkienBooks.net:
"The images of books in this gallery are from TolkienBooks.net: An Illustrated Tolkien Bibliography and various other reference websites Tolkien Books
These images will be replaced with actual photos of the books and the collection display in the near future."I will contact Tolkien Books to see if this is sufficient.

Deagol is Tolkienbooks.net, it is Deagol's website.

Shouldn't you have contacted "Tolkien Books" first? Or are we following the Google approach to permissions/credit?
