Publisher Unwin Hyman, later purchased by HarperCollins, publishes the 9,250-page manuscript of The Lord of the Rings, by J.R.R. Tolkien. The Lord of the Rings trilogy, still published today by HarperCollins UK...
Unwin Hyman? It's a rather redacted (& inaccurate) timeline that doesn't mention George Allen & Unwin. It mentions acquiring Thomas Nelson in addition to numerous other diddy companies; but doesn't actually have an entry for its takeover of UH, and thus it's control of publishing Tolkien. Strange omission. Also no mention of acquiring
Gollancz; another massive UK publisher in it's time.

I had a chat with HarperCollins about the site, and it now mentions as it should George Allen & Unwin, instead of Unwin Hyman, in the Time Line.
