Final question for the month!
What other authors or subject matter do you collect? I'm fine with future-looking answers here too, if there are directions or people you are interested in collecting but haven't started yet for whatever reason, too.

I certainly am not focused on other topics at this point, at least for depth. I have been enjoying collecting first editions of GRRM's
Song of Ice and Fire as I have been able to get all but one of them signed in person and I have been enjoying the story line. Also Pat Rothfuss'
Kingkiller series, for similar reasons. It gives me pleasure to know the authors (in a non-personal way) and to interact with them when possible - just not possible with my main collection obviously.
ps - yes, I am a saint when it comes to patience. When the next books come, I will be thrilled, and in the meantime I can enjoy a ton of other things to read from everyone else (including Tolkien who has been more prolific than either of those two mentioned, in the last seven years).

Don't collect any other authors or subject mater.
Tolkien alone occupies enough time & house space.
Haven't got a great deal of interest in any other fantasy books except Game of Thrones. So may possibly (at some point in future) collect both J.R.R and G.R.R.

I have no real interest in Fantasy outside Tolkien. But I also collect H. P. Lovecraft (by, about, associated; inc. Arkham House, etc); "books about books" (Tolkien, HPL, bibliography, typography, etc); Scottish/local history (inc. Glasgow, architecture, etc); and some other single-author collecting (Robert Aickman, Thomas Ligotti, Walter de la Mare, etc); and early Gothic & Weird literature generally.

Though Tolkien is by far the most represented author/subject in my book collection, my Tolkien books are are less than a quarter of my book collection as a whole. I collect in a variety of areas, for example: Folio Society, fine press, classics, annotated editions, fine art, golden age illustrators, wood engraving, Patrick O'Brian, marine art, Bibles, British Lit, Limited Editions Club, Shakespeare, film, and much else.

Just Tolkien for me too... if I had the space in my home or brain, or less space in my wallet, I might collect Tolstoy, books about The Beatles, vinyl... or cats.

Arthurian literature. I have a certain fondness for Everyman’s Library editions from the 60s, but, there’s a lot of literature that exists only in academic editions that I am working on collecting; also, I recently got a pretty nice Gibbings-illustrated Malory.

Tolkien makes up the majority of my collection, but I also have a fairly good selection of GRR Martin, Lewis, Gaiman, Herbert and some Lovecraft.

I also collect first editions of Lewis, but have a handful of other random pieces I've obtained over the years including two, signed copies of "The Fireman" (the short story/novella which was expanded into Fahrenheit 451) published in Galaxy, first edition set of The Hunger Games, and the first couple books in the Red Rising series.
