I was just wondering if anyone thinks this is worth the price as I am seriously considering it. I've attached a photo but have a look at the link for details, also check out his other customs of Labyrinth and the Neverending story.
The listing has a small error, in that it says it is using the HarperCollins edition for the rebind, but the picture is of the Houghton Mifflin edition.
Based on the description, the seller buys a new (recent impression, nothing of collectible note) and does the rebind when the order is placed. So, if you really like the leather binding, that is what you should base your purchasing decision on, not the book itself.
What quality is the rebind though? As Urulöké says, seller looks like they've cut & pasted the publishing details from somewhere else; since they're incorrect. Never a good sign.
But to answer your question, I don't know. Therefore, no.
I'm not sure but he's had good feedback. I just like the look of the Iron crown with the Silmarils. He has done a Lord of the Rings as well. I may risk it..........
