In case anyone's curious about the finer details of 2-part Hobbit, it's essentially the paperback that's found in the kids/teens section of a bookstore, as opposed to fantasy; and has the David Wyatt chapter illustrations. One that carries HarperCollins and not Houghton Mifflin, that is.

Definitely a Wonders item, on all fronts. I wonder how CT felt about this little ditty (if he ever knew about it of course). Fortunately it was only a minor misstep but a misstep all the same.
Posting here because this is a nice photo of a lot of the pinbacks from the era, but the asking price is way above what I think these usually sell for.
