Hello All, This is my first post to the TCG. I have been looking for the title set for some time and have only found it here
https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listin ... collsguid-20&linkCode=osi

The first listing is not listed correctly (I already talked to the seller) the other two seem too expensive. Has anyone come across this set in their searching?

Welcome to the site, and thanks for asking!

I'm thinking that around $200 is not a bad price these days, based on what I have seen. Keep an eye on eBay and a deal will occasionally show up, is my best advice. Here is what is current on there, including one recent sale. Condition is always important, so be patient! This set in particular seems to show up often with a lot of wear, people tended to read it rather than save it as a collector's item, I believe.

It’s a nice set. As you can see mine is not perfect either (someone really enjoyed the Fellowship it seems) but I am happy with it.

Very nice set, I see you have the Silmarillion collectors box as well. Another item I'm working on finding...

Very interesting looking set!

I like how the titles for each part of the novel are written in Tolkien's runes on their front cover.

I also don't believe that A&U did a 25th anniversary edition, though, there were some hardback sets a few years prior, and a few years after.

What are the maps like, and where in the books can they be found?

Yeah, they did - but only in paperback http://tolkienbooks.net/php/details2.php?id=1182

And the little booklet added to this set was distributed separately too.

The shire map is on page 26 of The Fellowship of the Ring. The map of Middle-earth is a foldout map tipped in on the last free endpaper of Fellowship and The Two Towers. The map of Gondor etc. is a foldout map tipped on on the last free endpaper of The Return of the King. They are really nice, large, and fold upwards (which I really prefer, and doesn't always go that way).
