Did you comment or link to any old posts that contained those? I saw those and wondered why it had picked them up

Me too, I never submitted those items (Fairy Poetry and Lord of the Rings)

It's not you, it's the bot. I believe that what is happening is that you have been browsing through very old threads with eBay item links in them, and the automatic reloading of the data for those links is for some reason triggering the bot.
I will fix it.
For my reference, how should the bot function normally, and how should we best make use of it? Forgive me if this information is posted plainly to see somewhere on the forums.

It's been mentioned before, but many years ago (so the information in this thread is a little out of date) - https://www.tolkienguide.com/modules/n ... ewtopic.php?post_id=12928
Brief summary:
- The TCGBot detects eBay links posted in forum messages, loads relevant data and images from the eBay API, and displays a nicely formatted summary alongside the message. It also converts the links to affiliate ones (the primary way this site is supported for server and bandwidth costs). Finally, it monitors the item until it ends, so the final status (sold or not, best offer price, etc.) is noted.
- the "eBay" section (found in the "Collect" menu in the site header up there ?) allows for eBay items to be submitted to the Bot as well (without posting in the forums). The TCGBot posts a daily summary of items that were submitted but not in a forum post. (This is the code that is currently misbehaving - TCGBot should not be posting items that were already posted in other messages previously).
- Thirdly, I have a chrome browser plugin that lets me submit eBay items to the TCGBot from my browser when I am on eBay sites, with a single click (without leaving eBay). No one else is currently using it (@berelach might have it installed), but it is available in the Chrome plugin store for the truly dedicated... ? Let me know in a PM if you want to try it out as it does not show up in the Chrome store unless you have the direct link from me.
