Speculations are still discussion, which are well-suited to a discussion forum - which is what this website is
I think you misunderstand the purpose of this website. It is really intended to be an informative (and fact-based) site for collectors, with a lot of fact-based Q&A, and whilst it does deviate into peripheral areas of interest from time to time, it has not historically been a place for endless speculation about new editions (we tend to wait for them to come out and then discuss the minutiae). My concern is that part of the problem in constant speculation and guesswork is that it becomes hard to search for fact-based information amongst the fluff.
I'd second the idea that this feels like the kind of thing for Reddit discussion.

Even for titles that aren't published yet?
I don't think evidence-based discussion about something that hasn't come out is a problem (it lets people know that the book is on its way and to keep an eye out etc) - but this thread is about 13 pages, much of which is pure speculation. Discussion when someone has new information (e.g. new info from the publisher or some inside information) is great and most welcome. I'm just not sure inviting people to make uninformed guesses is useful. It definitely passes time, but I'm not convinced it constitutes quality content that anyone is going to find useful in retrospect.
I don't think there is a hard and fast line here, but I do feel you enjoy the speculation more than - perhaps - some of the other members do.
Personally I'm not too interested in speculation either. This subreddit seems to have much broader interests that still pertain loosely to collecting. Most here probably know of it but for any that don't: https://www.reddit.com/r/tolkienbooks/
As a newbie, the spirit of this forum is clear, but really only now that the veterans have brought it to light. Might not be a bad idea to put a sticky up somewhere to help guide the course of conversation as it is intended to be within the various subforums on TCG.
It may seem obvious, but it isn't always. Plus, Tolkien invites a lot of well-intended enthusiasm that may be easily misplaced. Just my $0.02.
That said, I feel speculation is one thing, whereas asking people who may be in the know to spill what beans they can is another. Either way, Reddit is probably the best place for that.

It is called, Tolkien Collector’s Guide and not Tolkien speculation forum though ?. The title is there.
I agree with the majority opinion and that is that this forum is not for speculation, other forum's exist for that.
Can I ask that forum members do not post speculation questions? Please post if you have information from a party that is not mere speculation.
Will probably delete this entire thread when the books are released and start a new one to discuss the actual books.

Super Deluxe meant full leather books, of which four editions have so far been sold, HC made an excellent Lord of the Rings Super Deluxe for contributors to the 50th Anniversary but that was not sold commercially.
Here we have them all together. I hope there will be some more of these real deluxe editions in the future. Would be nice to see a matching set of the three Great Tales in the style of CoH
It`s nice to see them all together, but per definition the LotR 50th Anniversary for contributors is not a SUPER deluxe edition, as it's only quarter bound in leather.
