Does anymone would possibly be aware of this kind of stamp on a UK 1st print of The legend of Sigurd and Gudrun?

Could it be an uncorrected proof copy of HC with that stamp?

I have not seen that stamp before. It does not seem official (wrong font for example) but I could be wrong.

My guess would be that it is the initials of a previous owner, who uses a stamp rather than bookplates or a pen to "mark his territory".

Thank you Urulókë :)

I asked HC beforehand with a couple of other questions, we'll see what they think about it. You might be right as the font doesn't feel official.

Fonts aside, what would the "R" stand for with regards to HarperCollins?
