Damn, £25!? Bargain. Almost as good as that time I bought a copy "signed by the editor" from an Amazon private seller for £5.

Nope, best offer at £100, but still a good price !
Your record will hold, don't worry
I also got a signed copy last year (I even asked you for some insights, remember?), for £80. So I'm a strong silver-plated competitor hehe

Congratulations, I'm looking forward to see some pictures. I am not as experienced with eBay, may I ask you all some tips and tricks to do fast checks during the day ?
Just bookmark your searches. I don't think there is much else you can do. I don't really search during the day these days, Quick look in the morning, quick check at night. Anything else is WAY too time consuming, plus being in NZ, the time zone is such that there is value in checking repeatedly on the hope a really interesting BIN will show up. Can't remember the last time I got a BIN just after it was listed (have had relatively recent luck on Abe in that regard, though).
Thanks for the tip Stu, now checking is easy, perhaps too easy , it is difficult not to check a lot also during the day.

Yes , and that's not even a 1st impression. (But apparently, the second is as scarce as the first...)

Yeah, no difference in availability (or pricing) between 1st and 2nds of these up until now. Can't remember whether it was £40 or £50 that I paid for mine five years or so back (and mine is better than this one), so prices have definitely gotten fairly daft for them.
Wow! That seems like a lot for that one.
I personally don’t find that edition particularly desirable—especially for that kind of price.

Supposed to be one of the rarest hobbits after the first impressions, the 1942 children book club and the Blackie and sons indian edition.
With maybe the 1987 super deluxe.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
