However, it will take a while to filter through to some overseas stores. The ebook edition (also £30) will be available 1 June across all ebook platforms. The first edition of George Allen & Unwin – A Remembrancer was published privately by Rayner Unwin in 1999, shortly before his death, and only 50 copies were published. This edition is a reissue (second printing of the first edition) but we have added a reproduction of Rayner Unwin's handwritten reader's report (written when we was 10 years old) recommending that The Hobbit should be published.
