That is insanity. You're kidding... right?

Unfortunately not but over half are foreign translations.

Even so, are there ~300 significant UK editions/variants?

Probably not. But also collect US, Canada, Australia, Indonesia (English) Editions etc. Some duplicates. And I counted the Wenzel Editions (though counted 3 vol as 1).

But I have plenty of paperbacks and many insignificant printings.

Only 26 now, but I did have 31. A few were given away.

Having just started I find myself with 2 UK editions plus one on the way and a translation in Italian, wich is my native language. Considering also 2 awful paperbacks I move to 5, 6 with the one that I hope to receive (intact) in two or three days.

Some numbers that I've seen here are just incredible, I knew that some people had a lot of them but I never even imagined this quantities.

I'm at 165, a bit (just a little bit) more focused than the 210 I counted in 2017.

Wow, your numbers are just incredible ...

I have 9 + The History of the Hobbit + the Annotated:
- Lenticular facsimile of the 1st edition
- 2nd Edition (11th Impression)
- Folio
- Allen & Unwin Deluxe
- Hague Paperback
- Alan Lee Hardaback
- 3 in Italian (which is my native language as well)

I have also 4 copies of the comic book version (in italian, in french, 2 in english of which 1 signed)
