I think the Remarqued Super Deluxe S&G sold at £650 (From looking back through emails - I bought one during a 35% Flash Sale where the Base Price was £650 so ended up costing £422.50)

Unless it was originally £750 and reduced to £650 at some stage.

I checked my records and FoA cost me £40. I don't know where I ended up with £26 stuck in my head (rationalising spending too much money, I expect). Maybe I saw another copy sell at £26 shortly after, as I know a couple sold at auction at that time (without, seemingly huge interest).

As I said, he had list prices that the bulk sold for (standard, deluxe, super deluxe); the ones that appeared on eBay were the last copies he had I think. They went for less, either by auction or choice. A few were damaged and discounted. A small batch were even bought by another seller who also sold them on.

No glue that HarperCollins used in the 90's is "like new"! ;)

To be honest, these don't come up very often as a boxed set. The individual books aren't usually especially expensive (but also, they are not turning up every week by any means). The box on that listing is the best I have seen.
