After a long while chasing the right balance of price and condition, I finally purchased a NF copy of Peoples of Middle Earth, UK 1st edition hardcover.
Unfortunately, the book which arrived in the mail was NOT PoME. Moreover, the copy I bought is no longer in the shop, meaning it has been sent elsewhere by mistake.
I am not naming the bookshop, as I believe the owner to have integrity and the best of intentions and don’t wish to soil their reputation; it was an honest mistake. I have gotten my refund, and have been allowed to keep the incorrect book (Shaping of Middle Earth - Guild Publishing).
It has been made right, but alas I am still without a PoME copy…
Thus, I am posting here in the hopes that it was one of you fine folks who “lucked out”. The bookshop is in the UK, and I would be able to coordinate with the owner to prove what I say is truthful.
I would be willing to purchase it directly, or else coordinate a return with the bookshop and to get you the book you actually ordered. It’s a long shot, but it’s all I've got at the moment.
