Aelfwine, When Tolkien refers to the "Sun-year" in
Valinorian Time-Divisions, did he indicate what measurement he was using, i.e.
Solar Year (365 days 5 hours 48 minutes 46 seconds) as you used in NoMe or
Sidereal Year (365 days 6 hours 9 minutes 10 seconds) which makes a difference in the calculations in that chapter?
Like most things other calculations of the length of a year also exist depending on what you use to calculate the exact length.

Tolkien specifies (p. 11):
"A Solar Year contains 365d. 5h. 48m. 46s. = 365d. 20,926 secs. or 365.242199074 days."
I've seen no indication that Tolkien used (or even knew about) the Sidereal Year. (But then, that's not something I thought of myself before now!)
